Tucked away in the hills near Llandyrnog, Pentre Mawr offers a perfect mix of rustic charm, open countryside views and a warm, intimate atmosphere that makes every wedding feel personal.

As wedding videographers, we’ve had the pleasure of filming here twice, most recently in July 2025 for Kelsey & David, and it’s always a venue we love returning to.

Pentre Mawr has a relaxed, welcoming feel that couples instantly fall in love with. The stone buildings, surrounding countryside and quiet rural setting create a calm atmosphere that lets the whole day unfold naturally.

For wedding films, venues like this are perfect because there’s space for genuine moments to happen — guests relaxing in the gardens, couples enjoying a quiet moment together, and families laughing and celebrating throughout the day.

Kelsey and David’s summer wedding was a perfect example of why Pentre Mawr works so well for weddings.

Their day had that wonderful mix of emotion, laughter and celebration that every couple hopes for. The countryside setting gave us some beautiful moments to film, while the relaxed atmosphere meant everyone could simply enjoy being together.
